李德立,加拿大湖首大學統計學教授(Tenured Full Professor of Statistics),于1994年獲得加拿大University of Regina 概率統計專業博士;1995\01-1995\12和1997/09-1998/08在加拿大York University和University of Alberta從事博士后研究工作。1998年進入湖首大學工作至今,其研究興趣為高維數據分析、概率統計極限理論及其應用。現已發表學術論文 90 余篇,其中一些發表在頂級雜志The Annals of Probability、Probability Theory and Related Fields、The Annals of Applied Probability上。主持加拿大國家自然科學基金(NSERC)5項。
報告摘要:
The central limit theorem has been around for almost 280 years and has many applications, especially in the world of probability theory and mathematical statistics. In this talk, we study central limit theory along subsequences of sums of i.i.d. random variables, and provided negative answers to two problems related to the determination of reasonable values of the studied population mean. The results could be used in statistical data mining and spatial statistics.
